Hello from Uganda,
It is hard to believe that we have been in Uganda for 6 months already. Thank you so much for standing with us in prayer as we face the daily joys and challenges. God is good and we praise Him for all that He has done.
We are heading into elections this week and we invite you to join with us in praying for the people of Uganda and for the election process. This is a presidential election happening on Thursday Feb. 18. For the most part the rallies have been peaceful, just lots of noise and large crowds of people, but the tension is rising and there is opposition to the current President seeking re election.
Please pray for fair elections, for peace in the process and in the results, pray for our team and for our family.
Rejoice with us that we don't have any official reason to be afraid. God is in control and we can trust Him. Rejoice also that MAF has a solid crisis management plan in place if something were to happen.
We will be staying close to home over the next few days and feel quite safe here in our compound and on this side of the city. You may hear stories in the news, but so far things have been more in the downtown area, where we will not be going.
Thank you again for being a part of our ministry here in Uganda and for lifting us up in prayer at this time.
In Him,
Sarah and Nathan Montgomery
